“How in the world can we proceed in this shooting when the lead has fallen asleep?”
Meet Kim Hyun Joong ,the lead star who promptly without any coaching
fell into deep slumber in a scene that his co-star in Playful kIss
claimed she even heard him snoring like a kitten.
Kim is a popular singer -actor-commercial endorser whose last known
address is in Seoul,South Korea. His trademark is his ability to sleep
anywhere ,fast ,in broad daylight. As an actor it has been a joke that
his favorite filming scenes are those involving beds. Yes,beds where he
can go to sleep regardless of noise,lights, or any ongoing activity.
Actually any surface will do,tables,armrest, chairs. He can also sleep
without any props. Of course if production directors will let him. What
if a screenwriter can concoct a story where he will be in bed 90 % of
the filming time? That would be paradise . They could give him the
role of a comatose patient. He may like that but his managers will not
be happy . Hmmm might be bad, bad for his image.
Persons who are sleepy in the morning are said to have the habit of
staying awake at night. But what can cause this habit ? Too many mental
stimulation ? Work related ? Too much physical activities? All of the
above ?
On the other hand those who are into this sleep pattern say they like
the peace and quiet they get when they are still up at night while
others are sound asleep. They also like that there is less traffic if
they move around. A person turned sleeplessness into a self -employment
:he opened a bar. Or they could find jobs in the night shift .Higher pay
,too and less distractions. But the not so good side is they are drowsy
in the morning if they have to get up, the sun is annoying to the eyes
and they could be irritable . Somebody said now they understand why
vampires have such bad attitudes. Or one will eventually mess up how he/
she looks -with permanent fixtures like eyebags .Or looking old before
they are old.
But that is no longer a problem ,eye surgeries are available if
needed as well as other services round-the -clock,facial concealers are
dime a dozen and the world is now 24/7. As for Kim Hyun Joong he remains
lucky,he can continue with his sleep pattern . Just give him more bed
scenes in dramas, bed commercial endorsements and no appointments in the
morning .Case closed .
