[UPDATE] Kim Hyun Joong’s ‘City Conquest’ press conference expected to draw 16,000 fans in Japan

Wow, this event will surely heat things up some more for City Conquest. I'm really excited for this drama.^^...This should NOT be confused with the City Conquest promotion event on January 2 which has been announced recently too at the Henecia Japan site though (See MY post for more info)...Lucky all the Japanese fans who'll be able to see him and the teaser video... And congrats too to all of Henecia for the 1st year Anniversary.

I think they're doing quite a good job with the publicity for the drama so far. It's been getting a lot of attention recently and has proved to be very marketable even before its release. I hope it will also be shown here in our country :)

The upcoming drama ‘City Conquest‘ is scheduled to hold a press conference in Japan.

Scheduled for 7PM on October 4th at Japan’s famous venue, Budokan, the large-scale showcase event will host nearly 16,000 Japanese fans along with an estimated 400 reporters from media outlets such as NHK, TBS, and FujiTV.

In particular, television station NHK has assigned a ‘documentary team’ just for the drama, proving that the drama starring Kim Hyun Joong is attracting considerable attention.

The press conference will include appearances by Kim Hyun Joong himself, co-star Jung Yu Mi, and other drama representatives. Special promotional footage will also be revealed during the event.

In addition, the showcase event will also include the 1 year anniversary celebration of Kim Hyun Joong’s fan club.

Meanwhile, the upcoming press conference is prospected to help ‘warm up’ the currently chilly relationship between South Korea and Japan, all the while playing a part in further spreading Hallyu culture.

Jeong Yoo-mi (Lee Dan-bi) is in the hospital bed with needles in her arm and resting while Nam Goong-min (Cha Ji-ryong) is sitting beside her, holding her hand and watching her with complex feelings on his face.

Previously, Jeong Yoo-mi was seen in pictures with Kim Hyun-joong hugging and seemingly in love but out of the blue she’s in the hospital with Nam so here there is hint of a three-way relationship.

Hallyu star Kim Hyun Joong was captured in a passionate embrace with “City Conquest” co-star, Jung Yoo Mi, in a newly released still.

“City Conquest” is an upcoming drama based on a comic with the same title. The production team for this drama is the same as the one from “Athena: Goddess of War.” It is being filmed in various locations such as the US, Japan, China and more.

The scene in this still was filmed on July in Japan. The still captures Baek Mir’s passionate love for his woman, Lee Dan Bi (played by Jung Yoo Mi).

According to Key East Entertainment, Kim Hyun Joong showed great acting skills. His moist eyes and his detailed emotional acting especially stood out. It is reported that this scene also proved the great chemistry between Kim Hyun Joong and Jung Yoo Mi.

Kim Hyun Joong will shed his past, soft image. Baek Mir is a strong young man who struggles with the loss of both parents and had a rough upbringing. But he transforms into a weak man in front of love.

“City Conquest” is set to air sometime in 2012.

Kim Hyun-joong shows his soft side while shooting "City Conquest"

Korean singer and actor Kim Hyun-joong has shown his weak side for love on the set of his upcoming TV series, “City Conquest.”

On Thursday, KEYEAST unleashed a picture capturing a romantic moment of Kim and actress Jung Yu-mi who were hugging each other during the shooting of the drama.

The black and white image delivers a strong emotional connection between Baek Mir [played by Kim] and the love of his life, Lee Dan-bi [played by Jung].

Officials said Kim was praised by the staffs for depicting delicate onscreen romance and perfect harmony with Jung on the set.

In "City Conquest," which goes around the story of the struggling orphan Baek Mir, the Hallyu star will reveal his wildness while playing both action sequences and pure love scenes.

After finalizing its negotiations with local broadcasting firms, the officials noted they will announce on which channel "City Conquest" will air during the latter half of the year.
