SS501‘s Kim Hyun Joong revealed that he will be making a comeback as an actor at the end of next year.

Kim Hyun Joong held a press conference for the release of his 2nd mini-album "Lucky", where he explained, “Since I released a new album only four months after my last album, there may be some people who feel that it came out too soon. However, I wanted to show off as much as I could during the Asia or perhaps world tour that I’ll hold next year, so that’s the reason I’m releasing my 2nd mini album.”

He continued, “In the beginning of November, there’ll be a new digital single, and in January of next year, I will release another album.”

Kim Hyun Joong also talked about his acting plans as well. “I don’t think I can be a singer and an actor at the same time… When I’m a singer, I want the fans to see me as a singer… The Asia tour will end next June, then right after that I’ll start acting. Later on in the year, I’ll come back to the fans through a drama.” He added, “If I rest for too long, I become lazy… I’m also slowly starting to think about doing movies as well.”

Who wouldn't envy Kim Hyun Joong's smooth, silky-looking skin? During his recent visit to Manila, the Korean TV and music sensation revealed his grooming secret to the public and encouraged Filipino men to use skin care products more often.

Despite the growing health and wellness trend in the country these days, most Filipino men still seem averse to the idea of using beauty products on their skin.

At the press conference of The Face Shop at the Rockwell Club in Makati last August 26, one guy proved that a little vanity can do a man a lot of good.

He's none other than Korean superstar Kim Hyun Joong, a self-confressed moisturizer junkie and an actual patron of the Asian beauty brand.

There was no need to explain why he was chosen as the brand's endorser. His flawlessly fair and healthy-looking skin is a clear testament to his religious use of beauty products.

His love for hydrating creams stems from the fact that his skin tends to get dry given South Korea's extreme weather conditions, whether it be summer or winter. The rigors of a hectic showbiz career, including stress and lack of sleep, also cause skin dehydration.

The Boys Over Flowers and Playful Kiss star says his best skin care ally is a light moisturizer and swears by a product line called E'thym.

It consists of cleansing foam, toner, body lotion, firming essence and a light moisturizing face cream, which he uses all the time.

Compared to thick moisturizers, light creams leave a clean and non-oily texture on the skin's surface, but work just as well.

Light creams are also usually clear or light-colored and are absorbed faster because of their high water content.

If it works for the Korean superstar, this 'no-frills, no fuss' regimen could very well be the perfect skin care solution for men who want to take that big first step towards younger-looking skin at any age.#

Meet Kim Hyun Joong ,the lead star who promptly without any coaching fell into deep slumber in a scene that his co-star in Playful kIss claimed she even heard him snoring like a kitten.

Kim is a popular singer -actor-commercial endorser whose last known address is in Seoul,South Korea. His trademark is his ability to sleep anywhere ,fast ,in broad daylight. As an actor it has been a joke that his favorite filming scenes are those involving beds. Yes,beds where he can go to sleep regardless of noise,lights, or any ongoing activity. Actually any surface will do,tables,armrest, chairs. He can also sleep without any props. Of course if production directors will let him. What if a screenwriter can concoct a story where he will be in bed 90 % of the filming time? That would be paradise . They could  give him the  role of a comatose patient. He may like that but his managers will not be happy . Hmmm might be bad, bad for his image.

Persons who are sleepy in the morning are said to have the habit of staying awake at night. But what can cause this habit ? Too many mental stimulation ? Work related ? Too much physical activities? All of the above ?

On the other hand those who are into this sleep pattern say they like the peace and quiet they get when they are still up at night while others are sound asleep. They also like that there is less traffic if they move around. A person turned sleeplessness into a self -employment :he opened a bar. Or they could find jobs in the night shift .Higher pay ,too and less distractions. But the not so good side is they are drowsy in the morning if they have to get up, the sun is annoying to the eyes and they could be irritable . Somebody said now they understand why vampires have such bad attitudes. Or one will eventually mess up how he/ she looks -with permanent fixtures like eyebags .Or looking old before they are old.

But that is no longer a problem ,eye surgeries are available if needed as well as other services round-the -clock,facial concealers are dime a dozen and the world is now 24/7. As for Kim Hyun Joong he remains lucky,he can continue with his sleep pattern . Just give him more bed scenes in dramas, bed commercial endorsements and no appointments in the morning .Case closed .

Korean pop star Kim Hyun Joong is not only loved for his music (as the former lead singer of SS501 and now solo artist) and his roles in popular Korean series Boys Over Flowers and Playful Kiss, but also for his gorgeous looks and that flawless skin you can't help but envy! His secret? The 25-year-old star swears by The Face Shop products, which he has been representing for a year now.

Just the day after the very successful launch of his album "Break Down" here in Manila, Kim Hyun Joong faced members of the beauty press at the Palm Grove, Rockwell Club last August 26 for his press conference as The Face Shop brand ambassador. This visit is part of his endorser duties, which includes visiting the 22 countries where The Face Shop has branches. Lucky for his Filipino fans, the Philippines is part of his Asian tour.

Kim Hyun Joong's Beauty Picks

Naturally, the beauty press wanted to know what his "beauty secret" is, and he said that he simply eats what he wants and gets plenty of sleep. He also uses The Face Shop products, naturally. "I can't tell you my favorite Face Shop product because I use a lot," said Kim Hyun Joong through a Korean interpreter. "If ever there's one, it would be E'thym moisturizer." Trivia: E'thym is a play on the phrase "eh-deh-da," which means baby-faced and youthful looking. It's The Face Shop's overseas flagship moisturizing line for summer 2011.

Kim Hyun Joong says he also uses The Face Shop BB Cream with SPF--especially the Power Perfection BB Cream--which he finds easy to apply and gives long-lasting, oil-free protection. He recommends this to his Filipina fans, too, especially when they're traveling with their man. He emphasized the importance of using sunblock and moisturizer—even for men—especially in a tropical country like ours. He believes it's time men cared for their skin, too.

However, if you'd like to know what makeup look he likes seeing on women, Hyun Joong would say it doesn't really matter to him. "I don't judge [a person] based on looks. I go more for inner beauty. I value personality more over appearance."

Cosmo.ph did get to ask Kim Hyun Joong what his favorite scent on a woman is, and the Korean heartthrob responded with a smile: "The scent of coconut oil." He first had a whiff of it when he got a massage in Cebu on his last visit, last year. (Event host Grace Lee remarked, "What a lucky masseuse--whoever she was!")

A heartwarming moment at his The Face Shop presscon happened when Kim Hyun Joong met the highest bidder for the auction of an outfit he wore at an event. The P100,000 proceeds were donated to the women of Abiertas, one of the charities in the Philippines that the Korean star supports. The highest bidder was the daughter of an old lady who proved to be his biggest fan in the Philippines.

"I've been to the Philippines before, but this trip is a little more special for me because of the chance to work for our unfortunate sisters," Kim Hyun Joong said when presenting the check to the foundation. "Thank you, and don't forget [to keep] the warmth in your hearts."

Armed with talent, flawless looks, and a heart of gold, there's nowhere but up for Korean pop star and heartthrob Kim Hyun Joong, who continues to win hearts the world over. He's famous for being the leader of Korean idol group SS501, but his career (and his universal charm) really skyrocketed after playing the role of Yoon Ji Hoo in the hit K-soap Boys Over Flowers. It's been one year and two months since his Manila fans first swooned over the star in the flesh. (He last visited for a sold-out concert where he raised and donated funds to benefit the Abiertas House of Friendship, a center for unwed pregnant mothers.) To our delight, the 25-year-old hottie graced Manila shores once again last August 25 to promote his first solo mini-album "Break Down." We caught up with him at a press conference at EDSA Shangri-La Hotel, and on the same day, he launched his album via a "High-Five Touch" event at the TriNoma Activity Center in Quezon City.

The album launch was a huge success. Even before the mall opened, kilig fans were lined up outside--waiting to get their copy of "Break Down" and meet the Kim Hyun Joong, of course! The first 500 who purchased the CD even got to exchange high-fives with the cutie!

"Break Down" marks Kim Hyun Joong's comeback to the music scene, this time as a solo artist. The album is a mix of musical genres, from heavy urban dance tracks to strong R&B and even bubble gum pop. For his solo debut, he shed his pretty-boy charm for a more mature, masculine one. He told us he has plans to do an Asia concert tour that will include Manila as a pit stop! We'll be looking forward to that, for sure!

At the press conference, he told his fans, "Thank you for all the love you have toward me. It inspires me to bring up better songs and better performances." Proving to be a huge hit in Asia and beyond, Kim Hyun Joong is shining brighter than ever as an international star.

K-drama fans best know him as Yoon Ji Hoo--his role in the popular 2009 romantic comedy series Boys Over Flowers.

You've seen him most recently in the new series Playful Kiss, where he plays a popular and genius male student named Baek Seung Jo.

Kim Hyun Joong gives his Filipino fans a heart-melting smile.

With looks like that, it's easy to see why this boy is an international hit.

He began his music career as the leader of the boy band SS501 back in 2005.

The name of the band has a special meaning: The first "S" stands for "Superstar." The second is an abbreviation for "Singer." The combination of 5, 0, and 1 symbolizes "five members united as one forever."

The band's first full album was called S.T.01 Now, followed by a second album All My Love, and most recently, a series of mini-albums.

The boys of SS501, however, are now focusing on doing their own thing. Kim Hyun Joong, for instance, is launching his debut solo album "Break Down."

Kim Hyun Joong had just completed his South Korea and U.S. tour a few months earlier, before embarking on an Asian tour to promote his solo project.

With that smile and undeniable charisma, it's no wonder this Korean star drew over a thousand Filipino fans to his album launch!

He said that doing this project as a solo performer opens a lot of new doors for him.

Earlier this year, "Break Down" was released in neighboring Asian countries like China, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Thailand, Singapore, and Malaysia. The reception was impressive!

Kim Hyun Joong's album has six tracks and one instrumental version of the title track "Break Down."

He revealed that the title track is his personal favorite.

"Break Down" is a powerful synthesized song with an urban style, which features a stylish rapping by South Korea's Double K.

The song was actually produced by Ken Lewis (the same producer behind the hits of Eminem, Kanye West, and Usher!).

Other album highlights include "Intro (Let Me Go)," which opens with a pipe organ melody and the upbeat tune "Yes I Will."

He believes his album shows a different and more mature side of him, compared to his SS501 days.

He moved from the synthesizer instrumentals, heavy beats, and bubblegum pop to more artistic musical freedom. He has created mature yet catchy sounds.

He told us, "This is a very personal project because I was hands-on in producing this record. I was involved in all the processes of the album, from the lyrics to the jacket design."

The album is currently getting attention for the track "Kiss Kiss," which is heating up the airwaves.

"Kiss Kiss" is a pop/dance song accompanied by an acoustic guitar. The song's music video is now on MYX top charts.

The album also features a previously released single "Please." It still proves to be a hit!

He expressed that one of his biggest dreams would be to do a free concert--for charity!

Even his fans in Manila inspire him. He shared that he was both "shocked" and "amazed" by the warm welcome he received from the moment he arrived in the Philippines.

He says he hopes to include the Philippines in his plans for an upcoming Asia tour.

Young gals and older ladies alike were seen sporting Kim Hyun Joong fan gear! Many of them admitted to being fans since his Boys Over Flowers days. He peered in amusement at the turn-out.

"Thank you," he said, "for all the love you're [giving] me. It inspires me to bring up better songs and better performances."

Kim stood up for a short photo-op before the program ended.

He revealed that when he finishes the Asian concert tour, he'll be back on your screens, possibly for a new TV series and a movie.
